Local 19 consists of four distinct hiring areas. Alaska, Montana, Seattle (The greater Puget Sound Area) and Spokane (East of Snoqualmie Pass to the Montana border). Vancouver Washington is covered by Local 23 which is all of Oregon.

Applications are only for the area that is open and not transferrable to any other area or local. You can apply to as many areas within Local 19 and the United States that you are willing to accept work. With our apprenticeship taking four and a half years minimum to complete it is easy to see that opportunities can be limited in the outlying areas.
